Tura Sanabria

Versatile and multidisciplinary artist (Madrid 1961), his work ranges from painting and sculpture to installations, photography and writing.

After passing through the Madrid Draftsman’s School, where he fell in love with the line, he has been training in different workshops, with renowned painters, until carving out an artistic career that is nourished by his constant desire to experiment with all types of textures and surfaces, thereby leaving his mark on the Spanish contemporary art scene.

His work stands out for the deep passion he imprints on each of his creations and where color and creative freedom are his main tools.

Inspiration and Style

Color and passion

Tura Sanabria’s work is marked by a combination of color and passion. For her, both qualities are inseparable and fundamental in each of her works.

Whether through organic, abstract forms or more defined figures, Tura seeks to explore the expressive possibilities of the materials, pigments and textures it uses, in a continuous exercise of artistic freedom, leaving in each work a piece of its feeling, its emotions, of the
search for that self that wants to live in color despite the grays of the soul.

His style is difficult to classify in a single movement, since it rejects any type of pigeonholing.

Her curious “girl” spirit and her courage when it comes to experimenting keep her in a
constant search for new creative horizons, always keeping her independence intact.
