Alejandra de la Torre

Alejandra de la Torre (Castellón, 1983) is a visual artist who blends street art, installation, and visual storytelling to explore our relationship with objects, memories, and the passage of time. With a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, studies in Lisbon, and a Master’s in Artistic Production, her work tackles themes like youth precariousness and gender inequality. She has exhibited at fairs such as Art Madrid and Art Context Miami, and her work is part of collections in Spain, Belgium, England, and the United States. A unique voice combining social reflection and contemporary aesthetics.

Inspiration and Style

Use of different languages

Graduate in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2007). Study
also at the Faculdade de Belas Artes of Lisbon (2005-2006).

Master in Artistic Production at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2011-2012)

She has been a beneficiary of scholarships such as the 3CMCV, from the consortium of Museums of the Valencian Community (2015). The “Artistic Habitat” Scholarship from the Castellón City Council (2012 and 2018) and collaboration scholarships with the Polytechnic University of Valencia, in the Painting department, among others.

He focuses his work on the plastic arts, developing his work through different languages ​​that range from street-art to installation.

The central theme of his work is the objects and the links we develop with them, the
human need to possess and accumulate, reified memories and the passage of time.
Although the object also uses them, not so much to talk about them in themselves, but as
narrator element to talk about other topics such as precariousness among young people or gender inequality.

Since 2003 he has participated in several group and individual exhibitions throughout the world. He has also participated in different art fairs such as “Just MAD”, “Art Madrid”, “Art Context Miami”, “Verona Art Fair” or “Marte”.

His works are found in private collections in Spain, Portugal, Belgium, England and the United States, as well as in the Artistic Fund of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the Castellón City Council, the Valencia City Council and that of Paterna.
